Yes, you can post the final PDF of your published article for the BMJ. You should also include the complete citation and a link to the journal’s website; alternatively we can provide a toll free link* to the
article on the journal's website
Can I post my article in full on my
employer's website without permission?
Yes, you can post the final PDF of your published article for the BMJ. Your employer should be a non-commercial organisation (hospital, university, charity, government) and you must include the complete citation and a link to the journal’s website. If your employer is a commercial organisation they must seek permission
Can I make copies of my article in full
without permission?
Yes you may make up to 50 copies of your own work for personal or
professional use (including teaching packs that are distributed free of
charge within your own institution). For more than 50 copies you should seek
permission; for more than 500 copies you should order
reprints
Can I republish my article in full in
without permission?
Yes you may reproduce the complete article in any language (with full
acknowledgement) in a book written or edited by yourself (this does not
apply to multiple contributions of works in the same journal for which
permission must be sought)
Can I reproduce parts of my article in
other works without permission?
Yes you may use selected figures, tables or text (up to 250 words) in
any language without permission in another work written by yourself that is
made part of an edited work published by a third party
*A toll free link is a
hyperlink that allows users of your site to download and/or read the full
text of a specific article without access controls
